Jim and I recently returned to the U.S. after living in Germany for over ten years.  Jim also spent the previous six years living in England. It was really a culture shock for us to be back in the land of 24-hour shopping, fast food and cheap communications.  The toughest thing for me was learning to drive under 80 mph, which I haven't yet mastered.  We love the convenience of living in a place where you can get anything you want anytime you want, but we also miss things like German beer, small family-run restaurants, fests, Christmas markets, plenty of bike and walking trails, great public transportation, uncontrolled air space, no speed limits, and access to a smorgasbord of countries within easy driving distance.

Currently, Jim is a network consultant and I am a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). Jim and I are both Cisco Certified Network Professionals (CCNPs) and Jim is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Jim is also a licensed pilot and an airplane aficionado.
